Liz Rich comes to Coach Mennig’s staff after having had the opportunity to play both in college & high school with great team success.

Liz (Klaffenbach) played at Prairie High School in Washington and was a two year letter winner and was a member of teams that finished 3rd & 6th in the state tournament.  She graduatedd as a 2nd team all conference member in 2008.

She then went on to Westminster College in Missouri and was a part of the program’s first conference championship in 2011.  They then followed that season up with another conference title and the programs first appearance in the NCAA tournament.  Her senior year she was selected to the all-tournament team as the secured that championship.  She was a member of the SLIAC academic all-conference team.  Upon graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology/anthropology and religious studies, she tied the record for the most games played (101)

Coach Rich came to the Midwest in 2013 and finished her graduate degree at the University of Illinois in 2015.  During that time she was made her first appearance on a sideline at Monticello High School as an assistant coach helping them to a Regional Championship in 2015.  She was hired in 2016 by the Urbana School District in 2016 as a social worker upon joining Coach Mennig’s staff.
